About us

The Latvian Alfa Romeo Owners Club was founded on August 9, 2003, with the aim of uniting fans of the legendary Italian car manufacturer in Latvia. The club’s main task is to accumulate knowledge and experience in the field of Alfa Romeo technical maintenance and to ensure a free flow of this information among brand enthusiasts in Latvia, as well as to build ties with foreign Alfa Romeo owners’ associations.

The club regularly organizes events for Latvian Alfa Romeo owners, in which both brand enthusiasts and owners, as well as the Alfa Romeo dealer, actively participate. Events such as “Autumn Legend”, “Season Opening” and “AROMS” have already become traditional and are an integral part of Alfa Romeo owners’ social life. As the event names suggest, each of them has its own character and format:

  • Season Opening” is an event held in spring, where Alfa Romeo enthusiasts have the opportunity to show off their cars after the long Latvian winter, as well as get acquainted with the latest Alfa Romeo cars offered by the dealer.
  • AROMS” is the most anticipated and most grand event in the life of Alfa Romeo enthusiasts. Every year “AROMS” takes place on the weekend of the August week that is closest to the Club’s founding anniversary and the first event that took place on August 9. Since the first “AROMS”, the event has also been attended by foreign guests—Alfa Romeo enthusiasts.
  • Autumn Legend” is a regularity rally whose goal is to reach the finish by following the legend that leads through Latvia’s beautiful regions in the most colorful season.

In 2006, under the Club’s wing, the internet portal “alfisti.lv” was created for Alfa Romeo enthusiasts. On the portal it is possible to get acquainted with Alfa Romeo news, participate in discussions, create your own virtual garage, as well as learn everything about an Alfa Romeo car you have set your sights on but have not yet bought.

TRADITIONS

Since the Club’s founding, a monthly meeting at an Italian restaurant has become a tradition. Over a glass of grappa and a slice of Italian pizza, club life is organized, events are planned, and the latest news is discussed. Not only club members, but also potential members and simply Alfa Romeo enthusiasts are warmly welcome to the monthly pizza meeting. The monthly meeting takes place at 19:00 on the first Wednesday of each month at an Italian restaurant.

To become a member of the Latvian Alfa Romeo Owners Club, you must prove yourself to be a decent and caring Alfa Romeo owner. This can be done by actively participating in events organized by the Club, attending the monthly meetings at the Italian restaurant, and taking part in discussions. Ultimately, your desire to become a member must be expressed to one of the existing Club members. If none of the existing members has justified objections, the candidate is admitted to the club at the Autumn Legend meeting event.

The membership fee is 60 EUR per year. The club year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31. The joining fee is the full first-year membership fee, regardless of the admission date. The funds collected cover the club’s operating expenses, including the maintenance costs of the websites alfaclublatvia.lv and alfisti.lv, as well as various representational expenses and costs related to organizing events. A club member can receive a report on the use of funds upon request.
